The SILK team met Anders Jensen when they visited MidtLab in Denmark last month. Anders was on a trip to the UK and decided to stop by Kent and visit SILK.
"I met some really lovely, nice and happy people, when I visited a local project supported through SILK 4 weeks ago. I attended a monthly meeting at the Bulk buying team project, there. The atmosphere was through the roof, everyone laughing all the time, and the project manager Jackie cracking jokes, but still they managed to facilitate decisionmaking and sharing of information.
I quickly felt like one on the team, so it came as no surprise that 2 local women new to the group had showed up, with an idea to a social project, to support coherence in the community. The women were met with open arms and debates went on about what to do and how to help them. That proved to me that not only is the Bulk Buying team able to make their own project run, and run well, but they still keep that open and inviting mind, that inspires and opens up to new innovative ideas." (summery of his visit by Anders)
We took Anders to Parkwood to meet the Bulk Buying team. Below are some photos taken of Anders and the Bulk Buying group in Parkwood.
