Sarah and Demetria attended the Bell Shaw fun day that took place in Parkwood at the end of last month. During the day the Mayor came to officially open the Bell Shaw playground; there were also lots of other fun things happening such as face painting and plate spinning!
SILK were there handing out samples of washing powder and conditioner and collecting residents opinions on the washing powders/ tablets/ liquids they use to help inform what washing powder should be purchased during the bulk buying project.
SILK were also running a couple of competitions; one was a colouring competition for children, the winner won a £10 book voucher. The other was a draw that was going to take place between all of the friends of 'Parkwood Bulk Buy' on Facebook to win a trolley filled with washing up goodies (see photos below).
The day was great, the weather was sunny and SILK managed to make connections with even more Parkwood residents face-to-face and via the Bulk Buying Facebook group that has been kindly set up by one of the Parkwood residents.
